In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of making a homemade pizza that will satisfy your cravings and leave you wanting more. So, roll up your sleeves, put on your apron, and let's make pizza!

Ingredients For the Pizza Dough:

- 1 ½ cups warm water

- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

- 1 tablespoon sugar

- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 ½ teaspoons salt

For the Pizza Sauce:

- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Salt and pepper to taste

For Toppings:

- Mozzarella cheese, grated

- Your favorite pizza toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

   - In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.

   - Add olive oil, salt, and 3 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until it forms a sticky dough.

   - Gradually add the remaining flour while kneading the dough for about 5-7 minutes, until it's smooth and elastic.

   - Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

2. Make the Pizza Sauce:

   - In a saucepan, sauté minced garlic in a bit of olive oil until fragrant.

   - Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.

3. Assemble and Bake:

   - Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet on the middle rack.

   - Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a round pizza crust on a floured surface.

   - Transfer the pizza dough onto parchment paper to make it easier to transfer to the oven.

   - Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce on the dough.

   - Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

   - Add your favorite pizza toppings.

4. Bake:

   - Carefully slide the parchment paper with the assembled pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.

   - Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

5. Serve:

   - Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute.

   - Slice it into your desired portions, serve, and enjoy!
